| Notes | The original letter is GEO/ADD/28/086. The French transcription and English translation are on two halves of GEO/ADD/28/050. Both documents bear the circled number '15', which shows the order in which the original letter was bound.
Mrs Clayton has added a note to record that her eldest brother was Lord Sunderland, 1st Lord of the Treasury, and that Mr Clayton was at that time on the Board.
The proposed date presumably relates to the subject matter of the letter. |
