| Description | William is returning the Farm Park and Garden's accounts; he approves of how the money has been allocated.
He is planning the funeral of Mr Coggan and his widow's position at the Hampton Court Gate
Talking about agricultural developments, William doubts that, as calculated by Coates, the flail is cheaper than the machine; he also has doubts about the cleanliness of the threshing. He hopes Coates and Elphick will be able to drain Cain's Wood by the autumn; he is fairly happy with the account of the harvest for 1817. Mrs Oak should await the linen already sent before deciding what else is needed for Bushy and St James's.
After having suffered for the very hot weather, the Duke and Duchess are now feeling better. He is glad to know that his daughter and Mrs Harper are getting along well - he hopes George [FitzClarence] will be prudent going around.
He hopes Coates will not need more money. |
