Title | Letter from the Duke of Clarence to J.W. Daniell, written at Hanover |
Date | 16 January 1819 |
Writer | Clarence and St Andrews, William, Duke of |
Addressee | Daniell, J.W. |
Description | William confirms to have received the opinion of the Bailiff about a grass farm, but wants to know Coates' opinion as well, in particular, about the possibility of turning William's arable farm into grass, and which of the two (arable or grass) is more advantageous, in the long and short term. He is glad Daniell dined in South Audley Square [where William's children are now living] and happy at the news that Augustus [FitzClarence] joined the Navy and will soon serve in the Mediterranean. The Duchess [Adelaide] completed her 19th week of pregnancy and she is feeling well. |
