Title | Letter from the Duke of Clarence to J.W. Daniell, written in Meiningen |
Date | 14 May 1825 |
Writer | Clarence and St Andrews, William, Duke of |
Addressee | Daniell, J.W. |
Description | William talks about a problem with the post system as it seems large amount of post struggles to be delivered to him; he suggests Daniell to send letters written by the servants' wives at Bushy to their husbands (now with William in Germany) as addressed to him - as it is more likely they will be delivered. He is about to get in touch with [Sir John] Barton to make new arrangements for the time left before William is back. William confesses not to remember or know Mr Jopham [?] or Brown of Twickenham; he acknowledges the death of Mrs Wheatby. |
