Making Lord Bootle aware of his plan for replacing Baron Hylton [as Member of Parliament for Carlisle], who recently died. He comments on events in Italy and the role played there by the Royal Navy.
In a post-scriptum note Frederick informs Bootle that Miss Mostin [Mostyn] will become Maid of Honour the following Sunday.
