DescriptionCaptain Petty gives an account of how his vessel was assailed by a Spaniard vessel commanded by Augustin Blanco of Baracoa. Blanco took Mr Thompson and his family as prisoners and robbed the vessel of all his goods. The Spaniards, then, sailed towards Providence. Captain Petty reports a specific discourse made by Blanco who highlights the warlike nature of the Spaniards.
