Description
The letter communicates that the successful outcome of the expedition to Cape Breton from New England should soon be known - this will benefit incredibly the British trade. It give details of the forces deployed in the mission.
A postscript note informs that an express has arrived with the news that the Grand Royal Battery has been conquered and they [the British forces] expect to be soon in possession of the Town [Louisbourg].
