Description | Apologises for not replying sooner - has attended the Drawing Room and since all day visiting at Frogmore; thanks her for her account of 'the little Boys Christening'; thanks her for her last letter 'upon a more serious subject & the kindness you express & show to me on this occasion (& I may say upon every other during my life time) are deeply ingraved in my heart'; refers to a vote on a bill in the House of Lords; expresses her appreciation on the value of her friendship 'but I am afraid at this moment we have many Weather Cocks in the House'; on the Drawing Room last Thursday; death of Mrs Townsend; death of Mr Bolby [Bowlby]; rumours of a French defeat.
