The Duchess describes the Duke's attempts to prevent the capture of Hohentweil and his courage in quelling a mob at Stuttgart; she complains that the Austrians have taken the Württemberg troops with them and prevented them defending the Duchy; but the conduct of the Hereditary Prince has given them some comfort.
