The Princess thanks the King for his letter and his support; she argues that nothing will do more to strengthen the Stadtholdership and the constitution than an alliance with Britain, which will put paid to enemy attempts to prejudice the Dutch against Britain. She is confident that Baron de Nagel, who will deliver this letter to the King, will do all he can to help bring about the alliance.
