Letter in which the authors brother seems to have been taken against his will shortly after the death of his child, and his wife has been placed under surveillance. The author relays his correspondence with her before his departure. A lady named Madame [Hufeland?] has been accused of being a spy after someone having written with information about her to Prince Augustus Ferdinand. The author comments on espionage and a trend of disappearances in Berlin.
