DescriptionMenu book for dinners and luncheons for William IV and Queen Adelaide at Brighton Pavilion. Most of the dinners also include other members of the royal family: George Augustus FitzClarence, 1st Earl Munster; Sophia Sidney, Baroness de L'Isle and Dudley, Elizabeth Hay, Countess of Erroll; Amelia Cary, Viscountess Falkland, Princess Mary, Duchess of Gloucester and Edinburgh.

Volume also includes dinners and lunches for the 1st Earl of Munster], Princess Augusta and Landgravine's [Christiane Amalie of Hesse-Homburg] supper.

A list of the people attending dinner is often provided; among the most notable: Prince and Princess Lieven [Prince Christopher Henry von Lieven, Lord of Mesothen, Russian Ambassador to London, and Dorothea von Lieven] ; Prince Talleyrand [Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-PĂ©rigord]; and Maria Caterina Rosalbina Caradori-Allan, French operatic soprano.

Volume provides details of dinners served to members of the King and Queen's Household.

There are accounts of meat and fish consumed; game and fish received and its provenance. In the case of the fish it is occasionally specified that it was served by G. Humphrey.

The last menus in the volume record meals consumed by Lady De L'Isle's and Dudley's nursery.
