Description | Letter from Edward Harvey to Lord Barrington (GEO/MAIN/1195) dated 7 August 1771 enclosing an extract from a letter by Earl Cornwallis concerning General Conway [missing]; enclosing a signed letter from Lieutenant-General George Henry Lennox to Edward Harvey on the arrest of Lieutenant [?] Hudson of 67th Regiment and acting Fort Major dated 16 May 1771 at St Phillips (GEO/MAIN/1180); and enclosing a further signed letter from Lieutenant-General George Henry Lennox to Edward Harvey dated 8 July 1771 at St Phillips (GEO/MAIN/1192) that he did not authorise Harvey to lay the subject of his previous letter dated 16 May 1771 before the King but that he was seeking advice only. Written '50' and '51' written in pencil in top left hand corner of GEO/MAIN/1192 and GEO/MAIN/1180 respectively. |
