GEO/MAIN/15830-15831: Presentation of petition written following the death of John Carr, a collector of Loughrea. Carr had seen the 'abuses' and 'frauds' made by the collectors and wanted to examine the situation despite being met with threats; he discovered and noted an estimate of arrears due, 'short charged' acres, acres not charged in the Kings Rent Rolls, acres short charged with Quit Rent, acres 'not sett off'' and not used, total amount lost. Carr made applications to the Chief Commissioners and Governors of the Revenue in Ireland. Wainwright kept the letters and memorials, also recorded in this volume, he also supported Carr and ruined himself. Wainwright is requesting a quarter of the amount the examination will save the Crown, which he believes he deserves as its representative

Wainwright discusses the taking of bonds from Robert Blahenny and Ros Mahon, Carr's plans to inform the board of commissioners of his discoveries and his subsequent presentation of findings on 10/05/1751.
