George III describes receiving the news from the Bishop of Lichfield that Lord Bruce has declined the request to be Governor, and summons the Duke of Montagu. He mentions that Lord Bruce may have the Earldom of Ailesbury, that he shall give the Earldom of Montagu to the Duke and the remainder to Duchess of Buccleuch and her male heirs
