Collection | George IV Calendar as Prince, Regent and King |
Description | Loughborough suggests that the Prince's 'character would be lessened in the publick estimation' if he accepted the Regency 'on any ground but right or under any sort of compromise', and that following the proposed Privy Council meeting, the Council, after consulting George III's physicians, should express their 'gratitude, duty & assent'. The Prince is then advised to direct a proclamation for a meeting of Parliament. Unsigned. |
