DescriptionThe writer discusses William Pitt's intention to propose that the Houses of Parliament appoint Commissioners 'under the Great Seal in the King's name' to open the session, and then commence a Bill to appoint a Regent, specifying what proportion of regal authority should transfer to the Regent. The example of William, Prince of Orange, is given, and the writer hypothesises on the consequences of these proceedings. He advises the Prince of Wales wait until Pitt has nominated him as Regent before concerning himself with the limitations.
