Fullarton fears that his previous offers have been overlooked, and wishes them to be known by the King and Royal Family. He refers to his wife's connections with the Clan of the McKays as eldest daughter of the Cheiftain Lord Reay.

Encloses (GEO/MAIN/38883-38884) copy of a letter from Fullarton to Lord Amherst, 1 November 1783, on offering to raise a body of Cavalry; and on his unique military circumstances.
