Dalrymple delivers the Duke's statement that he has never said anything to the Prince's disadvantage, and intends to discuss the subject with Lord Moira.
Signed.
Includes further note (GEO/MAIN/39081) in Dalrymple's hand [?to the Prince of Wales] expressing his wish that [the Prince] would not 'press the declaration too strongly', fearing that his [?the Duke's] honour may be called into question. He states that what has been said may be 'a check at least upon that unfortunate disposition of talking loudly to the multitude upon matters that so materially concern His Royal Highness and the rest of His Royal Highness's family'.
