| Description | McMahon writes that he has made an intimation to the Delegates from the 1st Regiment of the W. York, and that the Address is published in the M[orning] H[erald], the O[racle], and the M[orning] P[ost]. McMahon gives the opinion of Duke of Northumberland and [Richard Brinsley] Sheridan regarding a letter to the King from the Prince on his wish to undertake military service, and gives the suggestion that an undated copy should be kept to be sent to the King 'on the first declaration of alarm'. He provides news of Lord Moira, and that Sheridan plans to bring Irish affairs to the House of Commons. He adds that 'B.D.' [?Henry Bate Dudley] has described the high public opinion of the Prince's actions [following [incorrect] reports of a French Fleet off the coast].
