(39753) Letter from W E Phillips on the Lieutenant Governor's permission for the formation of the Committee. (39753-39756) Proceedings of the meetings of the Prince of Wales Island Committee, including the resolution to present two pipes of madeira wine to George, Prince of Wales, and one pipe to Sir John Macpherson, and the opening of a subscription. Names of those responsible for collecting subscriptions are listed, with designated people for the Europeans, Arabs, Poruguese, Armenians, Chinese, Chulians, Buggeesses, Malaya and Persees.
