DescriptionDuperier states that in 1807 a new Hussar Dress [uniform] and horse furniture were commissioned for him by George, Prince of Wales and placed on the Prince's account. The account had remained unpaid and the tailor, [John] Meyer, was now demanding immediate payment with interest totalling £134.17.10. Duperier had previously applied to Sir Benjamin Bloomfield to settle the account without effect.
Includes duplicate receipt for £74.9.0. from John Meyer to the executors of George IV in payment of Duperier's account.
