William mentions M. de Lucke; the King's health; praise of Prince Frederick on the continent; [Frederick II] King of Prussia; [Gustav III] King of Sweden; and meeting [Karl Georg August] Hereditary P[rince] of Brunswick, commenting on his character, and a future visit to see the Prince in Lausanne. He also reports meeting with P[rince] Henry of Prussia who stated that his visit to Paris was political, which the Duke doubted was true.
Noted that the letter was answered on 1 November 1784.
