Description
William states that she is a friendly, 'amiable character' with 'good humoured behaviour', and that as the Prince was so attached to her he was pleased to afford her civility. However he notes that sometimes, in 'unfortunate occasions', it was necessary to be very public with his attentions to ensure that her long exile was bearable.
