DescriptionWilliam writes of his visit to Fredericsberg [Frederiksberg], location of the [Danish] court, where he saw his sister [Caroline Matilda, Queen of Denmark and Norway], who was larger, taller and 'pretty well', but notes that she was distressed by the behaviour of the 'disagreeable' ladies of Denmark. He details his plans to travel into the country to visit 'two old queens [Juliana Maria and Sophia Magdalene, Dowager Queens of Denmark and Norway] and Prince Frederick [of Denmark and Norway]', who had received the [smallpox] inoculation according to [Robert and Daniel] Sutton's method.
He also mentions [Caroline Matilda's] birthday celebrations; and a voyage with officers who had served in the Spanish War.
