Description
These opinions were drawn after consulting the account of the Duke's illness written by [?John] Charlton. The physicians state that a surgeon and physician should be sent as soon as possible to advise on the Duke's care, and describe his illness as of an 'insidious nature', mentioning its 'tendancy to become a chronic disorder' which can prove fatal.
