| Description | The Prince asks the King for some marks of approbation for Richard Goodwin Keats, a Master and Commander. Beginning with his own naval career, Prince William narrates how he became to know Keats who used to accompany him when he was on shore lat New York, when it would have been inconvenient for the Admiral of the ship, Admiral Digby, to do so. Upon Prince William's request, Digby promoted Keats to the rank of Lieutenant.
Given the longstanding and faithful service, however, the Prince wants the King to give Richard Goodwin Keats a further promotion to the rank of Post Captain.
