Collection | Correspondence of William IV |
Description | The Duke expresses his admiration for the Prussian military and the Russian artillery. He will proceed to the Great Head Quarters with the Duke of Saxe-Weimar [Charles Augustus, Duke of Saxe-Weimar and Saxe-Eisenach]. He reflects on the fact that he is surrended by Russian, Austrian, Prussian, Saxon and French Military music, and thinks, therefore, that the Prince Regent should send Cramer [Franz Cramer, Master of the King's/Queen's Musick] to collect the best of that. Before concluding, he requests that the Prince Regent does not forget to give the Duke's son Frederick [ FitzClarence] a Commission in the Guards. |
