Lord Burghesh [General John Fane] is going to Dover with his Lady and suite aboard the HMS Rinaldo. The Duke is making the final adjustments in preparation of the visit of the Sovereigns [Emperor of Russia and King of Prussia]; he is particularly concerned about the arrangement of the beds - especially since more people than expected will need accommodation, and the Sovereigns must be provided with adequately comfortable beds.
