The Duke does not rejoice at the news that Sir Henry Halford is staying in the King's Room; he is glad, however, that the King was able to see the Duchess of Gloucester [Princess Mary] - although he hopes he will not see either the Duke of Cumberland [Ernest Augustus] or the Duke of Wellington [Field Marshal Arthur Wellesley].
