Collection | Correspondence of William IV |
Description | Prince William refers to a serious affair which happened on the Pegasus and could have negative consequences. Prince George must not show or tell of this affair to anyone aside from Elphinstone, because the Commander in Chief needs, first, to decide where and how the affair can be settled. The details of the fact are explain in an enclosed document [GEO/MAIN/44738-44751]. Prince William only says that the wrongdoing was committed by Schomberg (Captain Isaac Schomberg) and the present Commanding Officer, Captain Nelson, believes William is in the right. |
