Description	The Duke of Wellington is pleased to know that the King is taking an interest in the question of corporal punishment in the Army. He is of the opinion that taking away the power of the Courts Officers of Regiment would be beneficial for the King and all people who live under him and realized that there should not be a regular Army at all. He, then, identifies two classes of Officers who should not have a say in this question. He now believes that the General Commander in Chief should acquire himself all information regarding the state of crime and punishment in the Army so that to have in his powers to check irregularities - upon which result a commission should be appointed to enquire into the state of things. The first step, though, is important to inform the public and the Government of what exactly they need to deliberate about.
