TitleLetter from George II to Frederick, Prince of Wales ordering him to leave St James's Palace following recent events
Date10 September 1737
WriterGeorge II, King
AddresseeFrederick, Prince of Wales (1707-1751)
DescriptionThe King is not willing to accept the Prince's excuses as he believes everything he did was premeditated and done with the intention of causing distress to the King and the Queen. The King is highly offended by Frederick's longstanding bad behaviour and forbids him to reside at the King's Palace until he demonstrates a real change of attitude. The King, therefore, orders him to leave St James's with his entire family.

The message was delivered by the Duke of Grafton and Richmond and the Earl of Pembroke on September 10, 1737.
