Cresset reflects on his role in supporting Mr Henley's unsuccessful nomination - which appealed to the Princess as well. Mr Bathurst [Henry Bathurst, 2nd Earl Bathurst] being attorney-general might have known something, but that is not clear. Other comments about an unnamed character's attitude towards the Princess of Wales and a certain "Sch. affair".
