TitleLetter from De Neubour to Sir George Lee
Date1 January 1752
WriterNeubour, Nikolaus Ernst, von de; Tutor to Frederick, Prince of Wales
AddresseeLee, George, Sir (c.1700-1758); Treasurer to the Princess of Wales
DescriptionBefore writing to Lee, whom he never met, De Neubour wrote to [James] Cresset a few times, asking to submit to Augusta, Princess of Wales, his petition. De Neubour explains to Lee that, after finishing his service as tutor of the late Prince of Wales, he was granted a pension by the same Prince. Now that the Prince is dead, though, De Neubour wonders if the Princess of Wales will be willing to keep on giving him that pension - it will not be for long anyway since De Neubour is already 72. He wrote to [James] Cresset a few times but he suggested to discuss this financial matter with Lee.
