He regrets that etiquette prevents Princess Caroline's life from being 'more gay & amusing', and states that 'if you wish for more of my company it must strike you that the natural mode of obtaining it is to make my own house not obnoxious to me...'. Endorsed 'answer to the Pss's letter of the 24th of April. April 25th 1796', 'no. 2'. Signed.
