DescriptionThat he was unable to meet the Duke of Orleans yesterday by an unexpected meeting of the Cabinet but hopes to re-arrange the meeting for tomorrow. Reporting a rumour that the Duke of Cumberland is to vote against them today 'which will cause much speculation concerning His Majesty's good will; but I think the mischief will be in a great measure done already' and asking the Prince to persuade the Duke of Kent and the Duke of Sussex to vote in person but not attend the debate. Referring to the propriety of asking the Duke of York directly to vote but indicating the desirability of York's presence.
