DescriptionExpressing 'those good wishes, which a truly attach'd & much devoted Son, must ever, in the most lively sense, feel' on the occasion of her birthday and wishing many happy returns of the day; that his feelings and honour have been wounded by the refusal to grant him a suitable military command 'at this awful Crisis to our Nation and complaining at the removal of the 10th Dragoons from the advanced post of the army 'only because The Prince of Wales is its Colonel'; 'I must recollect, that I am the Heir of these Kingdoms, and that it is therefore impossible for me to appear in a Place, where my presence can not but be disagreeable to those, who, notwithstanding their conduct to me, it is still my Duty to respect'; complaining at the lack of fraternal affection from 'those with whom I stand so nearly connected'; and regretting that he has congratulations with complaint.
