DescriptionThe escutcheon was housed at Kew Church and Byam discusses the awkwardness of asking for payment of the fine for storing it on church property. Byam states that the dire need of funds makes the request necessary and references the fines paid by the executors of Mrs Palmer's for placing [coats of] Arms at churches in Ham and Richmond.
Noted on the reverse the fine of £50 was paid on 11 August 1834.
