DescriptionItemised account of payments received and made by the estate. Creditors are listed on the left hand of the volume, with debitors on the right, and includes running totals at the end of each page. Payments made by the estate included: donations for the construction of the Royal Westminster Opthalmia Hospital and the Brighton Orphan Asylum, [building] work at the Old Crispin Race Stables, a subscription to the Royal Society of Musicians, the eradication of vermin at Windsor Great Park, and purchases of helmets, pattern uniforms, and gunpowder.
The account of quarterly pensions granted by George IV, and subject to drafts from Sir George Harrison, July 1830-June 1831, begins on page 29. Those in receipt of the quarterly allowance included: Mrs [Maria] Fitzherbert, the Foundling Hospital, Captain Adolphus Fitzclarence, the Royal Cornwall Lunatic Asylum, the Seamen's Hospital, the National School at St James's, and Elizabeth Fox [wife of Charles James Fox].
