| Description | Recording the 'State' of the House of Commons, this volume lists Members of Parliament for each seat and assesses both the current allegiance and likely future outcome of the upcoming General Election - running totals give numbers for each category (pro, 'hopefull', [doubtful], contra). Notes next to the name of each candidate may record whether the MP is a 'Friend' to the Government and his voting history, whether a seat is likely to be contested, or the rationale for the assessment.
