TitleLetter from Queen Charlotte to the Prince Regent
Date8 February 1811
WriterCharlotte, Queen Consort to George III
AddresseeGeorge, Prince Regent
Description'The News which Your letter conveyed to me, are so entirely Correspondent with my own Feelings, that it is quite Impossible for me not to rejoice in the Step You have taken, in not going Personally to the House of Lords. As to the Situation in which You are placed, arising from so Melancholy a Circumstance, I am sure that Your own Feelings are such as do Honour to Your Heart. & I quite agree with You my dearest Son, that neither Splendour nor State can accord with Your present Sentiments in any way particularly on this occasion'.
