DescriptionThis small volume contains documents relating to the Master of the Robes' department. Although these are mostly bills and receipts of payment, other notable documents include: copies of Treasury minutes; correspondence between the Master of the Robes and William IV; a warrant from the Earl Marshal to the Master of the Robes regarding the provision of the necessary robes and accessories for the King's coronation.

The Master of the Robes, the recipient or issuer of most of the documents collected here, was Sir George Francis Seymour, once Admiral of the Fleet, and Master of the Robes to William IV throughout his entire reign, from 1830 to 1837.
